At Fields Energy, we supply biodiesel blending to operators who want to cut the carbon intensity of their fleets. We confirm the blend a plant can take before an order is accepted.
A blend reaches your plant through the same supply chain as your diesel, so there’s no new infrastructure to build. First, though, we need to confirm your plant can take it.
Will your plant take it?
We check what your plant can tolerate before we talk about any blend.
Plant that can’t tolerate a blend risks engine and fuel-system damage. So we’ll confirm tolerance with each manufacturer first.
We’ll test tolerance and storage behaviour before your first delivery. That way, what you learn applies to your own fleet.
What decides if it’ll work?
These two questions decide whether a blend works on your site, so we settle them first.
Engine and fuel-system tolerance varies by manufacturer and by the age of your plant. Warranty positions on blended fuel also differ from one fleet to the next.
If a manufacturer sets a limit, that limit decides what we supply you. We check the manufacturer’s limits before proposing a blend.
Blended fuel behaves differently in storage. Dwell time, water pickup and cold weather all change how your tanks need managing.
We’ll agree storage and handling requirements with you before your first delivery. We put nothing on site until those requirements are agreed.
